The Main and Branch libraries will be
closed on November 23 and 24.

Job Opening
We are seeking a Page to work at our main
and branch libraries. Pages are responsible
for shelving returned library materials. The
time commitment is approximately 13 hours a
week. To apply, please pick up an application
at our main library. The position will remain

Kids Winter Reading Challenge!
Kids winter reading challenge returns for
ages birth to fifth grade. Read 1500 minutes
between Thanksgiving Day and New Years
Day to join our pizza and movie party on
January 6, 2018. Pick up a book log any
time in November.

Pumpkin Decorating Contest
at the Main Library

Saturday, November 18, 3:00pm
Kids in grades 3-5 can register for some
pumpkin decorating fun! We provide
pumpkins, paint, and basic carving tools.
Participants may bring additional tools or
accessories. Target gift card prizes will
be awarded for first, second, and third
place pumpkins. Space is limited so sign
up early!

Midday Movie
at the Branch Library

Monday, November 20, 11:00am
Come enjoy the recently released film
The Glass Castle (2017, PG-13).
Popcorn provided.

Tuesday, November 28, 4:00pm
Kids ages 5 and up can use library-
supplied Legos at the Main Library to
build their own creations, which will be
placed in our children's department
display case for one month and then
disassembled for our next Lego event.

Holiday Movie
Thursday, November 30, 6:00pm
Come to the Main Library to watch the
holiday classic Home Alone (PG) on our
big screen. Popcorn provided.

Book Chatters
Monday, December 4, 11:00am-12:00pm
Our Book Chatters group discusses books
we've been reading and favorites we've
enjoyed! Come to the Main Library to learn
about terrific authors and newly released or
upcoming titles, and enter for a chance to
take home an exciting new book before
its official publication! Light refreshments

Learn how to check out library ebooks and
audiobooks on your smartphone, tablet,
ereader, or computer. Alliance Digital
Media Library and eRead Illinois offer a
wide range of titles for all ages! No
registration required. Bring your library
card and a device if possible.
