New Sunday Hours
The Main Library will be open on Sundays
beginning April 8th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm
for a 12-week trial period!

Library BINGO For Kids
Pick up a special kids' library BINGO card at
either the Main or Branch Library at any time
during April. Have fun filling in all the squares;
then stop by the Main Library at any time on
Saturday, April 28th, and turn in your completed
BINGO card to Miss Lexie to receive an exciting
completion prize! (If you will be out of town or
unable to stop in on April 28, please make
arrangements with Lexie to turn in your card
either before or after that date.)

Friends of Washington Library
Spring Book Sale

April 21 through Noon April 25
The Friends of Washington Library (FoWL)
Spring Book Sale will be held at the Main
Library April 21 thru noon on April 25 during
library hours with a FoWL member preview
or $5.00 paid at the door on Friday, April 20,
from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

Wednesday Walks
April 25 - June 27 at 11:00am
Meet at the Main Library and walk on the
Washington Park trail! Participants can set
their own pace and distance. Bottled water
provided. In case of bad weather, we'll walk
the Five Points track.

AARP Smart Driver Course
April 26 and April 27, 9:30am - 1:30pm
Sign up for the AARP Smart Driver Course
being held at the Main Library. Please arrive
15 minutes early on the first day and bring
your driver's license and your AARP card if
you are a member. Non-member class fee
is $20. AARP members pay $15. Please
make checks payable to AARP. Payment
will be collected on the first day. Participants
must attend both days.

Genealogy Meetup
Friday, April 27, 2:30pm
Share your recent genealogical finds with
others! Get help using Ancestry Library
Edition and other library resources to explore
your family's history at the Main Library. Light
refreshments provided.

Summer Reading
Registration Begins!

Tuesday, May 1
Join us for an all-new, all-ages summer
reading! Reading Takes You Everywhere
is the theme of this year's summer reading
from June 4-July 14. Register at the Main
Library or Branch Library for more information!

Knit Night
Tuesday, May 1, 6:30pm
Bring your latest project for a laidback evening
of conversation and yarn work at the Main
Library. All skill levels welcome - staff will be on
hand to offer tips and encouragement. Don't
knit? We'll be happy to help you get started!

Zombie Night (for grades 6-12)
Friday, May 4, 4:30-9:00pm
Pre-register and pick up a permission slip.
Bring your nerf guns to the Main Library to
play Humans vs. Zombies in the park. Then
come back to the library for pizza & snacks,
and to watch The Mummy (1999). Must have
persmission slip signed by a parent to attend!
Limited to 30 participants.
