audiobooks directly from Washington District
Library's web site through the
Alliance Digital Media Library (ADML).




All you need is 5 minutes a day and an email
address to join one of our FREE online book
clubs! Click on the image for more information

HOPE Lives On Digital Story Submission


Lapsit Storytime for 2 Year Olds
Main Library Lapsit Storytime is for 2 year
olds with an adult. Sessions will be held on
Wednesdays at 10:30am during October
and November and last about 20 minutes.
Registration is not required.


"Great Lakes Ghosts"
with Lee Murdock

Monday, October 27, 6:30pm
Join us at the Main Library to hear about
supernatural legends and spooky tales of
ghost ships and haunted lighthouses through
song, combining ragtime, Irish, blues &
folk styles. This event is co-sponsored by
the Washington Historical Society.


Teen Halloween Movie Night
Friday, October 31, 5:00-6:30pm
Bring your friends to the Main Library to
watch Paranorman! When zombies,
ghosts, and witches attack, only Norman,
who can speak to the dead, will be able
to help this small town.
Snacks provided!


LEGO Event (for ages 8-12)
Saturday, November 1, 2:00pm
One of our most popular events returns
at the Main Library! Use library-supplied
Legos and have your creation displayed
in the library's display case. Space is
limited. Pre-registration is required.


WABoT (for teens in grades 6-12)
Thursday, November 6, 5:00-6:00pm
The Washington Advisory Board of Teens
meets once a month at the Main Library.
Teens interested in helping plan programs
and select materials for the library are
invited to attend!


Family Movie Night
Thursday, November 6, 6:30pm
Watch Adventures of Ichabod and
Mr. Toad on our big screen at the
Main Library. Snacks provided!


"The Nutcracker Story Time"
Saturday, November 8, 10:00am
Join us at the Main Library for some free
family entertainment as the Peoria Ballet
presents "The Nutcracker Story Time", a
condensed reading of The Nutcracker by
one of the dancers from Peoria Ballet in
full costume. A short dance selection will
be performed, along with the opportunity
to take photos with the costumed cast
members!


New Historical Society Case
Stop by and see the new Washington
Historical Society display at the Main
Library. Thanks to donations given in
memory of Marguerite and Gary Lucas,
a display case has been purchased
by the Historical Society and placed at
the Main Library to show treasures from
the Society’s collection.
